In 2008, Joe Beaudry was looking for ways to help him gain a competitive edge in his corporate career. Stress-relief, focus and improved memory were just a few of the items on his list. And so with a little research, he found an online community of passionate “floaters”; advocates of the benefits of floating, and how these benefits helped them with careers and personal lives.

Through this community, Joe was able to try a float tank in the basement of an avid user's home. An hour later, he knew he had stumbled upon something very special, that would not only help him personally but something, if branded and presented to the public correctly, could help countless professionals in markets all across the country - and so the seeds for Urban Float were sown.
